Pera is a district in Istanbul with a romantic history. During the Constantinople, the narrow streets and historical buildings of Pera became a central hub where different cultures converged. With French cafes, Ottoman architecture, and vibrant markets, Pera evolved into a meeting point for artists, writers, and traders. Even today, the streets of Pera tell a captivating story, carrying the traces of the past.
Pera is derived from the Italian language, meaning "the other side" or "opposite side." In Istanbul, this term is commonly used to refer to a district that encompassed Galata and Beyoğlu during the Constantinople era. Pera is a place that evolves over time and finds its way, much like us. It started as a workshop and has now transformed into an open space. It seems to be developing further with people and ideas.
